This is my step-dad, who has been the father to me that I always dreamed of while growing up with my abusive biological father. He has truly earned the honor of being called "Dad."
A few weeks ago we discovered that my dad has been diagnosed with stage two cancer, lymphoma. My parents are both retired and money is tight for them. Even though they have health insurance, the exenses not covered by insurance such as co-pays, infusions, medications and x-rays are more than what my parents can cover.
Over the next six months my dad's treatment will cost $6,000-$8,000 after insurance. I am funding the first month in hopes that in the coming months we can raise enough money to set my parent's minds at ease allowing my dad to rest and focus on his exhausting treatments of chemo and radiation while my mom cares for him day and night.
If you are able and would like to help financially that would be awesome! Prayers for a miraculous recovery not involving all this expensive and dreadful treatment would be appreciated as well. Reposts are also super helpful.
