Art Bus Launch

Donation protected
For most of my life I have been working towards Art and Community. I have put together small art events in my neighborhood partnered with local restaurants to host free art days. I have volunteered to lead art activities with kids at other events. I have organized exhibits in my church. I also worked at an arts camp and learned so much!

I dream to take art to areas where there is a void of color and resource.  It began as I  noticed the lack of art and color in my own community. Art should be accessible by everyone! Many  children don’t have access to supplies or simply have parents who don't quite understand the value of art in their  lives.

Growing up on public transportation made it very difficult to attend events. Accessibility to stores with proper resource was time consuming and an exhausting task.  Living through this has made it very clear that Art needs to be taken TO the people. Especially now that it may be difficult for people to get around.

Recently I purchased a bus. A way to do just that. I want it to be a blessing to my family as a source of income and a gift to the community.  My hope is to provide a fun service for all ages even adults plus provide free pop ups in different neighborhoods where everyone can express freely through creativity.

Attaining this bus came in a way that I couldn’t help but know that this is something I’m suppose to do. From purchasing it from a sweet couple that blessed me as I signed the title. To words of wisdom and encouragement from the 70 year old Hispanic Diesel Mechanic who worked on the bus and expressed how excited he was for my endeavor.  "Hecha le ganas" me digo.

I am crazy grateful to everyone who contacted me and asked me to set a Go Fund me.  I am so crazy blessed to have such amazing people in my life! Thank you all!!!

 The funds collected will:
1. Outfit the bus with all the furniture needed to provide a fun and safe environment.
2. Provide a hand wash station for added cleanliness and safety.
3.  purchase art supplies for the first event.
4. Set up legal and logistical needs to legally operate the bus as a business.
