As Most of you know, March 9th 2013 was a devastating and also a miraculous day for the Uusitalo and Hubbard Families. The Airplane crash has become the marker of our lives...as all things are before or after in our timelines. While we all miss Jay immensely, we are doing the best we can to move forward. We try to honor his life, and the grace of his last moments, in the way we live our lives everyday. Jay was an unbeleivable man...and continues to be an influential hero to us all.
Aiden is still healing, as are we all. Because of the effects of the crash, Aiden has therapies that continue to improve his possibilities of full recovery. The Traumatic Brain Injury, chronic pain, PTSD, as well as limited movement from his broken spine are all improving. We are so grateful for the many talented practitioners who we are blessed to have on this journey with us. It is an uphill climb...but he is doing it. I am so proud of every step, and I can often hear Jay cheering him forward in my heart.
This fundraiser is to help us achieve a new therapy for Aiden which is not covered by our health insurance. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is the standard of care for the level of brain injury Aiden sustained in the crash, as well as for the PTSD. We have been referred and now we have the seemingly insurmountable task of trying to pay for this treatment. Please consider helping us to climb this mountain...we are grateful for each and every donation.
