<div>My name is Sandra Edward from Clyde North, Melbourne and I'm reaching out from the deepest valley of despair. Just two weeks back, my family embarked on what should have been a sacred journey to India – a trip to visit his ailing mother and also commemorate his older brother who had just died last year in Sydney. My beloved husband, Dass, our two beautiful daughters, and I, along with other relatives, were on our way by van to the Velankanni shrine, a place of peace and prayer in Tamilnadu, India.

<div>On May 21st, our van collided head-on with a bus. In an instant, my beautiful husband, Dass, was gone. He was only 45, working tirelessly at Nissan Dandenong, a loving father and a devoted husband. Six lives were extinguished on that ill-fated highway, including Dass, his brother, his brother's wife, and other cherished relatives. The unimaginable truth is that all three brothers in Dass's family are now gone. Their lineage, extinguished in a flash.

<div>I saw my husband die in front of me. That image is burned into my mind, a cruel, relentless torment. Barely surviving the crash myself with multiple fractures and life-threatening injuries, I clung to the hope that my children were safe. Then, the most devastating news imaginable: my youngest daughter, my sweet Tash, who was turning six next month, succumbed to her injuries. How can I ever comprehend that I will never hold my little angel again? My heart is ripped to shreds.

<div>Now, I lie in a hospital bed, broken in body and spirit. My only remaining child, my darling Angie, has endured two brain surgeries after the impact crushed her skull. I've also undergone two surgeries, and I don't know if I'll ever be the same. But I must live for Angie. She is my reason to fight, my last shred of hope in this unfathomable darkness.

<div>I am appealing to your kindness and your humanity. I need help to bury my beloved Dass and my precious Tash. And most urgently, I need help to medically evacuate Angie and myself back to Australia. We desperately need the specialized medical care that can give us a chance at recovery and at rebuilding shattered lives.
