This year, I have been selected as one of two Drum Majors who will lead the Macy's Great American Marching Band (MGAMB) in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade! I and about 200 talented students from across the country will head to New York City the Saturday prior to the parade for hours of rehearsals and hard work to prepare for our performance Thursday morning.
I have been a drum major for my high school marching band since 2015. Being a drum major has taught me a lot about confidence, responsibility, and leadership. I have always dreamed of participating in the Macy's Day Parade, though I never dreamed it could become a reality. I am honored and humbled to be selected for such an exciting opportunity!
Funds will go towards participation fee and airfare. Any amount is appreciated. Thank you for supporting me! See you on Thanksgiving!
