Armored Artemises FTC Worlds Fundraiser

About Us:

We are the Armored Artemises #16008, an all-girls robotics team from the Glastonbury area. Our team ranges from the 6th to the 10th grade. This is our third year as a team and our first going to Worlds. We won the Inspire Award and the champion of the Robot Game. Our team is the Connecticut State Champion and needs funding for the trip to Houston, Texas, to participate in Worlds on April 20, 2022.

The Inspire Award:

The Inspire Award winner inspires other teams by acting with Gracious Professionalism®, both on and off the playing field. They are a strong ambassador for FIRST programs and are a role model team. To win the Inspire, a team must embody FIRST in all categories.

What is FIRST?

The Greater Glastonbury FTC is a non-profit organization in the Glastonbury area that provides resources and support for youth robotics groups. We make it our objective to contribute to the growth of robotics and STEM in our local community by providing resources and mentoring.

FIRST Tech Challenge is a robotics program designed to interest students in robotics, leadership, and entrepreneurship from middle school to high school. Approximately 81% of alumni go into STEM majors.

As the 2022 Connecticut State Champion, our robotics team will be traveling to Houston, Texas to participate in the World Competition. We will be representing Connecticut and competing with 160 teams from all over the world on April 20.

Greater Glastonbury FTC is seeking your company's support for this event. We are looking for funding to support the participation of our team in the competition. The funds will be used to cover the registration fee, travel costs, equipment, and much more.
