Former NFL Player Needs Your Kidney

By the end of October Armonty Bryant will need to begin kidney dialysis. We only need one kidney to live and unfortunately Armonty is in dire need of your spare. (See if you can donate here... http://www.ucsdlivingdonor.org/#_ )

As a professional athlete, Armonty is used to taking a beating, never stopping to notice any of the warning signs. He was giving his all playing football completely unaware that his kidneys were starting to fail and his body was starting on a deadly path. It wasn’t until after signing to the Oakland Raiders in May 2018 that he received the worst call any NFL player could get, forcing him to retire because his kidneys were failing.

Since then we have opened a kids gym called AstroKids in Austin, Texas that is gaining momentum, but, like any new business, requires a ton of work. The pain and sickness have gotten so bad that it keeps Armonty from being able to help out with the gym. Recently, we found out we are expecting a baby boy. We hope that we can raise enough awareness and find a kidney for Armonty so we can bring our son into the world with a healthy dad ready to take on all his daddy duties. With your help we can avoid a difficult future on dialysis and battling death on the transplant list which could take 5-7 years to come through.

How can you help? First and foremost, a kidney donor does not need to be a direct match. If you're looking for an excuse to take two days off and binge watch some shows, while being a hero and saving a life this could be for you.

All expenses for donor will be covered. Ultimately we are simply seeking awareness to find a kidney donation for Armonty.
