<div>Hi! My name is Ellis, my partner Lewis and I are fundraising for our son Arlo. He was born at 25 weeks back in 2022 and had a very difficult start to life. At 10 days old he developed ecoli-meningitis which then caused Arlo to develop hydrocephalus in the coming days due to a drainage tube in his brain being blocked by debris. He would need a ventricular access device fitted quickly however he suffered a large cerebral haemorrhage which put him at great risk of bleeding out. We proceeded with the surgery as it was our only chance at hope and luckily everything went to plan! Arlo was diagnosed last November with Cerebral Palsy and we have been doing everything in our power to give him the best start to life we can!

</div>
<div>We are fundraising for a custom made DMO suit to help improve symmetry and assist with stabilising his trunk and spine in order to help prevent him developing a scoliosis and further surgeries to correct this.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The cost for one of these suits is £902. They are not offered on the NHS in our area and the charities that we have applied to also don't offer grants for these types of suits.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are also fundraising for Arlo to go to a special kind of advanced therapy called DMI at a well known clinic called All Kids Are Perfect in Cary, North Carolina.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>You can see just how special this therapy is by looking at their IG page: @All_kids_are_perfect
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The cost of this therapy for 3 weeks is £7,000 and an additional £3,000 for accommodation in their specially adapted apartment.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He will receive two therapy sessions daily (AM/PM) with their trained staff, spotters, advanced equipment and extensive experience with DMI techniques.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Arlo has Cerebral Palsy, hydrocephalus and significant developmental delays. We try to focus on what he CAN do… and more importantly the things we know he is capable of achieving with the right support.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It is hard to ask for help, but we have faith and continue to believe we are doing the right thing to give Arlo the best start in life. We need to raise £10,000 for him to have the opportunity to receive this therapy before he is ineligible due to the 30lb weight limitation (he is currently 23lb)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The only way we can do this therapy is if we raise the money through support from family, friends, community and working our butts off to try and cover the costs!
