Arlo's Fight with Leukaemia Continues

Help support 4 yr old Arlo in the fight of his life battling Leukemia relapse
Little Arlo was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) at the early age of 18 months in November 2017. It was a long, exhausting battle, with Arlo only completing his treatment in February 2020. Heartbreakingly, in the last week his parents, Rowan and Erin, received the news no parent wants to hear. Arlo has relapsed.
Our beautiful friend Arlo is a ray of sunshine in the world, and his smile is infectious on any day. He loves animals, Bluey and his doting parents beyond words. Arlo had the joy of briefly starting a somewhat normal childhood this year, starting preschool after completing 2 1/2yrs of treatment and he loves and misses his friends almost as much as they love and miss him. Arlo leaves a trail of joy everywhere he goes and to know him is to love him completely.
With the devastating news of Arlo’s relapse in both his bone marrow and central nervous system, he is now an in-patient at Queensland Children’s Hospital (as of 20th August 2020). Arlo’s journey ahead is more aggressive and difficult than before. His treatment will include chemotherapy, bone marrow transplant & radiation and his family will need to live in Brisbane for his specialist medical care for at least 6 months.
Rowan and Erin are always thinking of others. While Arlo was still completing treatment, they organized a large charity luncheon fundraiser ‘Shake it for the Kids’ in their town of Bangalow, raising tens of thousands of dollars for the kids cancer charities ‘Our Kids’ and ‘Kids with Cancer’. It’s our turn to get behind them in their time of need.
We are creating this page to show our love and support for Arlo, Rowan & Erin. This GoFundMe page will enable people with an overwhelming desire to help, the opportunity to do so. All funds donated will be used to pay for Arlo’s ongoing out of pocket medical treatment in and out of hospital and future medical costs from potential side effects of this invasive and horrific treatment. It will also be used to help offset any other expenses over the next six months including hotel quarantine & accommodation.
