Arlisa Houston is a loving mother, wife, daughter, friend, and community member. She is also a massage therapist, yoga teacher and a gifted healer. Arlisa is such a gift to our world as she so generously shines her bright light on everyone she meets! And now, she is humbly asking for our support in shining a light on her path ahead…
Her journey with breast cancer began 22 months ago and she has been a graceful and powerful warrior caring for and nourishing her body at the highest level every step of the way. However in an unexpected and recent turn of events, she has learned that not only is the cancer back, it is more aggressive and has metastasized again into the lymph system and she needs immediate treatment. As a healer and wellness practitioner, a whole body immersion in immunotherapy and nutrition to coincide with her chemotherapy treatment is essential to her path to healing. This protocol of high level wellness while receiving a low dose chemotherapy unfortunately isn't available in Montana and is NOT covered by her insurance.
Not only does Arlisa need our love and prayers now more than ever, she and her family also need immediate financial support as well. She will begin treatment on April 2 and the estimated cost of the intial treatment is $60,000-$80,000 depending on drug costs. It must be paid as you receive treatment.
Arlisa will spend an intital 8 weeks in Arizona attending an outpatient clinic Monday through Friday. Although all of her meals are included in the cost of the program her accommodations are not. She will then return home yet still going back to AZ for monthly care and follow up visits over the next several months.
Arlisa and Cameron will be responsible for this and all other expenses as well as her loss of income over this time. Cameron and Arlisa have exhausted their personal resources over the last 22 months and humbly open themselves up to receiving support from the greater collective as she can only pursue this path with the help of the village!
Cameron and Hana (their 8 year old daughter) will remain in Montana and support Arlisa by staying rooted at home. They would graciously accept any frequent flyer miles that could be used for a visit!
