Arleen MacKinnon's Recovery Fund

On July 17th Arleen MacKinnon suffered a serious car accident near Butte Montana and was airlifted to the hospital there. After a week on life support in the intensive care unit, the ventilator was removed and she was moved out of the ICU.
Arleen suffered multiple broken bones, a deep head laceration, and is undergoing skin grafts to her left arm.
There are many blessings associated with this accident. No one else was hurt. Arleen did not sustain brain or spinal cord injury. Arleen will recover.
Arleen is completing reconstructive surgeries now, and the next step for her is to begin a long rehabilitation. She may be moved closer to home which will make it easier for all of us to visit and cheer her in that process.
We can all help by keeping in contact with our friend as she takes this journey, reminding her that she is not alone in her struggles. We can help her in many little ways, as she has always helped us in our need. Visit with her, call her, get her out of the house for an outing. One thing about Arleen that we all know is that she has been a devoted friend and volunteer for any need that arises. She has given of herself for many worthy causes. It is time for us to show her that we can live by her example.
Funds raised here will help Arleen to pay for those costs associated with a long recovery process and not covered by her insurance. Because her car was an older model, she did not cover it, so it is a total loss and will not be replaced, and her personal medical accident coverage will cap at $10,000. When Arleen returns home, she will need in-home care for some time. In addition, there are many other costs looming that will not be covered by insurance.
