Aris's trip to Nationals

Hello my name is Aris Haraga,  I am 11 years old and live in Kimberley BC.  I recently qualified to compete in Youth Bouldering at Nationals in Quebec City.

I started climbing with the Spirit Rock Climbing Team five months ago.  I am one of the youngest in my category.  I entered four competitions and place 7th and above which qualified me to climb at Provincials January 27 and 28, 2018.

At Provincials I placed 4th the first day which qualified me for the finals where I placed 7th.  My two best competition scores plus my Provincial scores placed me 6th for the overall climbing season.  This qualified me to compete at Nationals in Quebec City February 17th, 18th and 19th.

I was so so excited when I hear I qualified to go to Nationals.

I don’t know what to expect at this moment but when I return I will have a bigger and better understanding as well as be inspired to climb beyond what I think I am capable of.  Making the impossible possible.

I will learn better techniques from climbers who are stronger and more experienced. 

I look forward to meeting new contestants from all parts of Canada and use my french skills.

I am proud to represent Kimberley, BC and Western Canada.

I hope to inspire people to climb. 
I'm always challenging myself and wondering how far I can get.  I love climbing!

My estimated climbing and traveling expenses are $1,200.

I am asking your help to please consider contributing towards my trip in two weeks to Nationals and my future.

Any extra money raised will be saved and will go towards any future climbing gear and equipment to assist me in my climbing adventures.
