Ariel Joy Hicks

Ariel Joy was born October 28th 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson (New Brunswick). She was sent to the NICU where she spent two days for(Meconium). She was discharged to her parents cleared with NO BIRTH DEFECTS. On November 7th 2018 her parents notice she was struggling to breathe and immediately rushed her  to the Pocono emergency room. She was flown to Lehigh Valley hospital in Allentown, where her parents were told it was some type of heart defect.

The doctors recommended to fly her to the best children’s hospital CHOP (Children’s hospital of Philadelphia). Here they ran test and found she is diagnosis with ALCAPA (Anomalous left coronary artery from the pulmonary artery (ALCAPA) is a heart defect. The left coronary artery (LCA), which carries blood to the heart muscle, begins from the pulmonary artery instead of the aorta. ALCAPA is present at birth and it wasn’t with Ariel. 

Ariel has had three heart surgeries. She is currently receiving care with outrageous doctor bills. Her parents Ebony and Aaron are at her bedside unable to work and afford doctor bills. Please donate to the Hicks Family, thank you in advance ♥️♥️
