Ariane and Valyn's Assistance Fund

On June 20th Ariane Carson (my niece-Andrea's daughter) gave birth to Valyn Ava Lindesay.  Valyn weighed 1lb 4oz.  She was due October 3rd (born 4 months early) because Ariane had Pre-Clampsy so bad they had to take Valyn via C-Section.  

Valyn will have to remain in the hospital until her due date...October 3rd.  That means 4 months in the hospital.  Ariane has 6 weeks of paid leave.  Of course she is covered by the Family Medical Leave Act (12 weeks of leave) but that in essence protects her job...it does not pay her wages.  That means Ariane will have 10 weeks with no income.

I am asking all family members to help with Ariane's support.  If you are not a family member feel free to help.  A weekly, bi-weekly , monthly or one time  donation is appreciated.  Any amount will help.  

If you cannot donate money...go to St. Lukes on the Plaza and read Valyn a book, sing her a song or write a letter or nursey rhyme that can be read to Valyn.  We have 105 days to go to visit, read and let Valyn know that we want her to grace us with her presence 10, 15, 50 years from now.
