Ariana Vivian Khorsand Fund

Donation protected
UW Faculty,

With the help of Angelisa Paladin and William Shuman, I am starting a Fund to be used for residents in need during a time of crisis or hardship. We are naming this the "Ariana Vivian Khorsand Fund" in honor of Derek Khorsand, his wife Kate, and his daughter Vivian. Ariana was born with Beckwith Wiedemann Syndrome about one year ago, and their story is a reminder that we can always do more to help friends and family in need.

The money will be governed by Elizabeth Perera, Director for Philanthropy in the department of UW Medicine Advancement, and will be offered to residents in need with the help of the rotating chief residents. We will use the money to provide meal service, house cleaning, and any other tasks that may be of benefit.

The Fund requires a minimum of $3,000 to get started. Once we reach our target, the funds are immediately accessible. I encourage everyone to donate and help me get this off the ground. Thanks in advance for your support.

Sincerely,

Jack Porrino
