Ares' Cancer Treatment

A large, aggressive mast cell tumor was found on Ares. Most of it was surgically removed, however some remains embedded in his chest muscles. He has undergone one chemo treatment and is facing many more, as well as 18 radiation treatments. We have spent approximately $8000 so far on surgery, staging and medication, and expect to pay an additional $8700 for radiation treatment and scanning, and $3200 for his remaining chemo. We will be taking time off work and driving to and from Madison (where his radiation treatment will be taking place) most weekdays for three and a half weeks. Ares is 9 years old and in very good health despite his cancer. He is energetic and happy, and we really want to give him the opportunity to live a full life. We are extremely appreciative of the emotional and financial support we have received so far, and we hope everyone has a fantastic Holiday season with family and fur babies.
