Medical cost for Anja's cat, Archie

Friends,

I'm trying to raise $1,000 to cover medical expenses for my friend Anja's cat, Archie.

Archie was ownerless and already an older cat when Anja adopted him. He would have been unlikely to ever find a home had she not realized they were perfect for each other. Since then Archie has become so important to Anja, and Anja so important to Archie.


Archie is one of the sweetest, gentlest, most beautiful cats I have ever met, and he's become important to me as well.

Archie is now 10 years old and he recently suffered a torn iris and a hemorrhage in his eye because of hypertension possibly related to kidney disease, possibly something else. He's developed glaucoma and the vet says he'll have to have his eye removed.

The conservative estimate Anja was given is $800-1,000 for the procedure, and that would be at a facility that offers cheaper rates. If there are complications, it could cost more. Anja is a social work student and
cannot afford this on her own.


Whether you know her, or me, or you just love cats, it would be hugely helpful to contribute any amount, tell your friends & family, or boost on social media. We would all really appreciate it, and Archie would probably give you a big wet lick on the forehead, even without knowing that you helped him out, because that's the way he is.
