Get Archie Walking

Hello wonderful friends and neighbours. Many of you know Archie or know my love for Archie. He is an extremely friendly and adventurous cat. He just got hit by a car on December 8th and received jaw surgery and immediate medical attention so that he didn't have to get put down. The vet bill is wracking up so quickly with his overnight stay, pain meds, IV, x-rays, ICU visit, surgery, etc. I love, love, love this cat and he has helped me in so many ways. Especially mental- health wise. I do not have the money to afford his full recovery. The OVC is quoting $3000- $4000 for his surgery and stay, plus around $1000 for aftercare check ups. His normal vet is quoting $600 for his stay there the first night. Any complications may cost more: if his feed tube or wiring for the jaw fixtures falls out... I'm thinking it will be close to $6000. I can afford about $2000 of this, so I am still looking for donations in order to fully fund his recovery a a student. He is so lucky- he took the hit with his face but only seems to have a minor concussion and no internal bleeding. If you can spare $2, $5, $10, I will be grateful. I love this cat and it would have boke me if I had to put it down because I couldn't afford it. I also have to be mindful of the cost of his recovery aftercare- I know it's a lot but people are so generous that it may just work out!
