Help Varsin Fight Breast Cancer while Preganant

Varsin Archer is a daughter, sister, friend, wife, and mom. She has faced adversity all her life. She was born into war torn Iraq, and her parents fought to move her and her sister to the United States. Her she took advantage of the opportunity she got and went on to get her masters in Chemistry, marry her soul mate, and have two beautiful girls, Kali, 4 and Kaia, 1.
In May, Varsin discovered a lump on her breast and decided to get it checked out just as a precaution. During preliminary tests, Varsin discovered she was 6 weeks pregnant with baby #3.After tests, scans and biopsies doctors determined that she had HER2-positive breast cancer. Since this form of breast cancer is so aggressive, within a months time it has spread to her lymph nodes. Unfortunately since she is pregnant doctors can’t fully determine what stage she is at. But they can tell that it is spreading quickly.
Originally, the plan was to start all treatments in July when she would be in her second trimester, to help protect the baby. After all tests came back, doctors deemed that the cancer was spreading fast and risking her life. She will be undergoing massive surgery starting the week of June 17th. Her doctors will have her start chemo a few weeks afterwards, throughout her entire 2nd trimester and into the 3rd trimester if needed. As soon as she gives birth she will go under more chemo to help battle the cancer. While she should be recovering and enjoying the precious first days with her newborn, she’ll be fighting harder than ever.
One thing Varsin is, is a fighter. She is strong, independent, and determined. She will do anything for Kali, Kaia, and baby #3. In one of the most joyous times of her life, is coming her hardest fight. To ensure she has the best chance, she’ll be taking time off work to fight this battle.
She is as prepared as she can be, but there are a lot of unknowns. For these unknowns the Archers ask for as much prayers and support they can get. Every dollar that is raised counts, and is appreciated more than words will allow them to express
