Put 10 guys through "The Man Class(c)"

The mission of ReEngage, Incorporated is to transform males into men through training, support, and empowerment. I believe that we are all created male and female, but we learn how to be men and women and if there is no one there to teach us how do we learn?

We have launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for another “Man Class” in Kansas City for 10 men. Please join us as we seek to restore the dignity of these communities and move away from the failed policies of the past. Instead of being committed to ideologies and narratives we should be committed to outcomes and results.

We believe that one of the casualties of the War on Poverty has been the loss of dignity of those we have tried to help. If someone gives me something for nothing then there is no accomplishment on my part, there is no dignity. I am no longer a partner, but a dependent. Without dignity communities have sunken into chaos, violence, and underachievement in education. If we restore the dignity of the people in these communities then they will begin to clean up their own communities, police themselves, and educate their children. We must reconnect effort to benefit so we can re-instill human dignity back into these communities.

We believe that children are part of an ecosystem and if that ecosystem is toxic the results to those children will be toxic. It would be similar to our going to the gulf oil spill and cleaning up the birds and marine life and then putting them back into the oil spill. No self-respecting marine biologist would do such a thing, but yet that is what we have done for decades to these children. You improve the lives of children by improving the environment they live in.

ReEngage provides a three week training program for low income men that features a copyrighted curriculum known as, "The Man Class". Prior to participating each man has to agree to volunteer one weekend a month in their community, get and use a mentor which we provide, and come to our weekly support group. Upon completion of the training the men are given suits, a dress shirt, and tie. And then we provide them with employment opportunities through our staffing service.
