Cancer interrupted my sisters life at a very young age. Araceli was diagnosed with Leukemia when she was just 5 years old. She went through chemotherapy, surgeries, and radiation; but she beat it. Last year, cancer decided to once again make itself known. This time it came back stronger than ever and I'm afraid of losing my sister, my nieces losing their mother, mother and father losing their daughter, and my brother-in-law losing his wife. But my hopes are high and I have faith in God that he's by her side through this rough battle.
2016 was an exciting year for my sister and her family. They were in the process of buying their first home and expecting a little girl in October. Our excitement was quickly replaced with concern.
Araceli was diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer or stage 4 advanced. The cancer has began to spread to other parts of her body. In my sister's case, it has spread to her bones. She's been under treatment since the diagnosis.
Cancer doesn't only affect the diagnosed person, but their family as well. There isn't much that brings my sister down and she always pushes forward, no matter what. Unfortunately, along with wreaking havoc on a person's body, cancer also wreaks havoc on a family's financial situation.
This Go Fund-me has been set up to assist with travel and treatment expenses to attempt to help ease some of the stress. Any contribution is appreciated and prayers are also welcomed.
