This is a simple, but difficult situation. My daughter is 4 years old and she needs a Dental treatment that will remove all of her back teeth. She is suffering from multiple and continous infections over the past 2 months.
It is very difficult for me as her father to not be able to afford the procedure that will take her pain away. I have tried everything in my power to gain the funding to pay for the treatment. My insurance only covers a portion of the actual treatment and it covers zero for the anethestigiologist. The total treatment is $4000.00 my insurance covers $1000.00, leaving $3000.00, I was able to get a loan for $1000.00 leaving the balance I am asking for help with reaching of $2000.00.
They will not even take payments knowing that my daughter is suffering from the pain in her mouth and they will not even start to schedule the appointment without both the Dentist and Anestigiologist being paid in full.
We are trying to get her this treatment as soon as humanly possible as she is in pain or on medicine for the pain constantly. We have been to her pediatrician and walk-in clinics on the weekends when her medicine has run out. Our medical insurance assists with these visits, but we still pay a portion of the cost for every visit which affects our monthly budget as well, each time. We have already spent close to $250 on these visits in a short amount of time and if it continues we will grow more and more away from being able to get her to the Goal of having the procedure done as soon as humanely possible.
Please understand I am not the type to ask for help in any situation when it comes to monetary needs for my 3 children, but someone told me I should try this in order to try and get help with raising the remaining funds for her treatment so we can try and get it done in a timeframe I would not ever be able to meet on my own.
This is one of the hardest things I have ever done, swallowing my pride and asking for financial help like this, but I am at a point where my child's need has outweighed my ability to care what I feel in that regard.
I am willing to try and do anything to gain the remaining funding for her to be treated in a timely manner and remove her physical and emotional pain from these infections. There are days were all she can enjoy are blendid or very soft foods.
Every waking moment her pain is in the back of my mind and it may not compare to others in need or what their needs are, but for a parent, in this case a loving Dad, it is very difficult to know your child needs something and you don't have any Family or friends to turn to for assistance as well as exhausting everything you have to apply for assistance and being rejected or denied for every one after the first loan was given.
We live in Florida and are still catching up with the financial imapact we experienced from Hurrican Irma as we initially gained assistance and took out loans, which is another factor for my wife and I not being able to get more credit /loans to help cover this, another, unexpected financial impact in our lives.
If you can, please give whatever you are able to contribute, every little bit will hopefully add up to what we actaully need or get us close enough that we can afford the remaining cost by not paying some bills for a month or two.
I am not asking for anything more than what the remaining balance for this procedure will cost us.
I am not trying to make anything off of this account other than my daughter to not be in pain any longer than she has to be and to bring the continous happy face back to my little girl.
