Help for Sweet, Rachel Pitts!!

It has been a long couple of days for Rachel and her family. It began last Friday with Rachel feeling crummy and continued over the weekend.  By Monday night Rachel's breathing had become significantly labored and she was very uncomfortable. Tuesday morning the Pitts family again went to the pediatrician's office and that's when they became concerned that they may be dealing with something serious.  Needless to say, the results were not good and Rachel and her Mommy had their first trip in an ambulance to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. This morning (Wednesday) she was placed under the care of the PICU physicians and it was decided that she needed to be intubated and put on a ventilator to help her breathe and to give her some support. Next, Mom and Dad met with the pediatric hematology/oncology physician to discuss the bone marrow biopsy that was to be completed.  Rachel's day went well, with a fever here and there and the biopsy was completed. Several hours passed and the oncologist returned with the news that no one wants to hear: it is definitely leukemia.  Please help this sweet family!
