The Aquaculture Communications Group (ACG) launched a project in 2013 to capture the experience of veteran industry members in their own words and use video and the Internet to carry their messages to the global community.
We are not the only ones that think it is important to capture and pass along the knowledge, experience and insight of the aquaculture industry pioneers. An online article recently estimated that 80 percent of the “leading forces in the aquaculture sector are over 40 years old and that may as many as half the 80 percent is over 60.”
This means that the industry is, or will be, going through a generational transition, and although a younger generation may bring new ideas, it is still important to preserve the pioneers´ knowledge and experience. There is much to be learned from their collective history.
ACG started this project without any external funding because we believe in the importance of the project. Please go to the interview page to watch the project video trailer and all of the nineteen interviews now completed.
The response to the project has been overwhelmingly positive. Here are just a few of the many comments we have received:

To ensure the ongoing success of this project and to continue recording the stories of other industry veterans we are seeking your financial support. There are substantial costs involved in producing these interviews. Although we really appreciate all the positive feedback, it will not pay the costs incurred to undertake the project.
