Miss Pennsylvania USA 2018

If anyone truly knows me, they know I am way too stubborn to ever ask for help especially since I'm an avid contributor to charities and I almost felt this was not the right way to do this.  However, it was highly recommended as a way to get the word out.

So here it goes...

20 years ago, my family and I got the opportunity to come to, well, the land of opportunity. Since then, my parents worked hard to provide for our family and I looked up to them greatly. I showed my appreciation by working hard as well in school, sports, relationships and life in general so I could help them out in any way possible and ensure they could be proud of me. Unforeseen medical issues got in the way, but I never let them stop me. I prevailed, with their and all my other loved ones' encouragement and support.

It remains a daily battle and will forever be, but through it all, I choose to be positive, motivational and inspiring to myself and others. I've chosen career paths that allow me to pursue these avenues: serving the public as a supervisor, part-time waitress and Senior CareGiver.

These attributes lead to my exciting announcement... that I have been chosen to be a candidate in the running for Miss Pennsylvania USA 2018!

I was more than thankful to be given this opportunity to voice myself on behalf of others that have experienced struggle and overcame or are still trying to. I never would have imagined having the confidence to do such a thing as I truly thought they were always just about the "prettiest" girl there, but it will prove to many that anyone can do what they set their mind and heart to.

I grew up in Central PA from the four walls of West Creek Elementary to East Penn Middle and High Schools. I'd like to represent you all in this endeavor so if you would like to or know of any one who would like to become a sponsor - no matter how big or small your business. Please let me know and I will provide the sponsorship letter and further details:

Ultimately, the money I raise will go towards:
EXPENSES DURING THE THREE-DAY EVENT, INCLUDING FOOD AND LODGING AT THE
BEAUTIFUL HYATT REGENCY HOTEL LOCATED AT THE PITTSBURGH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT;
GIFTS AND PRIZES FOR ALL THE CONTESTANTS, PLUS SPECIAL AWARDS AND GIFTS FOR THE NEW
MISS PENNSYLVANIA USA
PRODUCTION OF THE STAGE SHOWS, WHICH INCLUDES ENTERTAINMENT, PROFESSIONAL
EQUIPMENT AND STAGING, ALONG WITH EXPENSES FOR JUDGES, HOSTESSES, TECHNICIANS AND STAFF MEMBERS;
EXPENSES TO PREPARE OUR WINNER FOR THE MISS USA PAGEANT
EXPENSES FOR MISS PENNSYLVANIA USA’S TRIP TO THE SITE OF THE MISS USA PAGEANT.

THANK YOU for helping me rasie enough to secure my deposit by July 31st.  I now must raise a couple hundred more at least to make my next payment by August 29th!!

Every tiny little bit will help.  Should you choose to pay this directly to the pageant, you may write a check (both sponsors and individuals, to Pageant Associates and hand to me instead).
