<div>Sophie is my beautiful and brave 23-year-old daughter. who is a wonderful mummy to her gorgeous, happy, two-year-old boy, Remi, and living with a terminal illness.

<div>As I’m sure most of you who have been following Sophie’s Journey know, she has been tirelessly battling a Grade 4 Glioblastoma for the past 18 months. Thanks to the community family and friends, rallying round her she has been able to make so many cherished memories with Remi. whilst going through gruelling treatment to give her as much time with him as possible. She is an absolute warrior, she gets up everyday day and fights so hard against this illness to make the best life for Remi.

<div>Sadly, on the 3rd February 2025 Sophie received the devastating news that the treatment which was meant to prolong her life isn’t working. She’s had surgery to remove the tumour twice; on the 23rd June 2023 which removed 95% of the tumour and again on 2nd July 2024 to remove some new regrowth, alongside multiple rounds of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Her tumour has not only grown but has now spread across to the other side of her brain, which now rules out any further surgery. Due to this NHS cannot offer any further treatment to prolong her life.

<div>Giving up is not an option! As a mother I will do everything I can to try and save her life for her family and her beautiful boy Remi, he needs his mummy !!!

<div>After hours and hours of research, we have found a clinic in Germany who provide immunotherapy treatment which is a targeted treatment for her specific tumour. This is the only option she has to prolong her life. She needs to start this treatment as soon as possible to try and receive the best outcome. We’re trying to fund this ourselves, but the overall cost is up to £200,000 and this just isn’t possible. We are endlessly grateful for everything everyone has done and we’re once again asking for the help of our amazing community family and friends to come together to help us raise these funds. Any donation or help you can give us will be greatly appreciated and we are eternally grateful to you all.

<div>The Treatment:
</div>
<div>The I0ZK Clinic in Cologne are specialists in the field of immunotherapy. The I0ZK-immunotherapy consists of combined treatment modalities including virotherapy, hyperthermia, dentric cell vaccination, and therapy with checkpoint inhibitors. This multi-modal form of therapy immobilises the body’s own immune response, enabling it to take up the fight against the tumour growth itself. There is no treatment of this type available to Sophie in the UK.

<div>The Immunotherapy vaccine is a tailored made vaccine for each patient.
</div>
<div>How works,  they combine an oncolytic virus and Sophie’s  tumour material with dendritic cells to produce the personalised vaccine.
</div>
<div>The vaccine would then activate Sophie’s  immune system to help fight the tumour &amp; get the cells back to good health &amp; kill the cancerous ones.
</div>
<div>Studies have shown that patients have a very good response to this treatment.
</div>
<div>We strongly believe that this immunotherapy vaccine is the best treatment to help sophie have a fighting chance of surviving this devastating illness.
</div>
<div>We are in touch with the clinic in Germany, we might be able to get her over there in the next two weeks !! This will only be possible if we can raise the much needed funds
