AQHA Cares (about our frontline medical workers!)

The AQHA Social Committee is calling on employees to participate in supporting our frontline medical workers! We want to show our support for the medical and non-medical staff in the COVID-19 ward at Northwest Texas Hospital as they continue to see our city through this global pandemic. While we can’t ease their burden (other than by masking up and social distancing!), we can add a smile to their face. And what better way to do that than a sweet treat and some coffee?

We will be working with a local bakery in Canyon that can make horse-shaped cookies (complete with our logo!) and a local coffee shop to bring a smile to the face of our local heroes. We are estimating a “rough” cost of $300 based on the number of employees working in the ward (70 medical and non-medical employees).

If you would like to donate, you can donate here safely and securely (even $1 will go a long way!). If we surpass our $300 goal, we will use the proceeds to try to do the same thing for the COVID-19 ward staff at BSA. We simply chose Northwest Texas Hospital based on our close professional relationship with them.

The Social Committee understands that not everyone can or will want to donate. You are not obligated to donate, either personally or professionally. Everyone has different financial situations and charitable commitments. Please note, as this is not a donation to an official charity or organization, this will not be tax deductible.
