Help Baby Sofia Get Surgery and Care

Our cousin, Baby Sofia was born 3 months ago with a birth defect that requires weekly hospital visits and eventually a surgery. As soon as she turns 6 months old the doctors will perform reconstructive surgery in her urinary and digestive tract. She is undergoing various diagnostic procedures plus fighting constant infections due to the defects; these infections are taking a toll on her body. She is currently not strong and big enough to risk the procedure. Her parents have been commuting back and forth between her hometown and the hospital, several times a week. They maintain two households because when she has kidney infections she gets hospitalized, and her mom cannot stay with her; she stays in a small apartment during those times. She also has an older brother and her mom is taking care of them all by herself while her dad is the sole breadwinner back at home.

We just found out that the constant commuting and the extra household, plus the medical expenses have strained their finances. Please let us help Baby Sofia and her family get through the next 4 months until she gets her surgery and completes the recovery period. They have health insurance but it is simply not enough to cover everything.
