Who are we?
Lisa, Fiona, Natalie, Lindsay, Jessica, Katherine, Rochelle and Amaya are final year ECU Nursing students.
We will be undertaking our final practical community placement in Manila, Philippines in October 2014.
What are we trying to raise money for?
Large areas of the Philippines do not have daily access to any pharmaceuticals at all. As part of the Community placement the nursing students will be traveling to rural and remote areas around the islands promoting health and wellness and providing communities with sustainable modes of maintaining optimum health. Money raised will be put towards medication, medical supplies, toothbrushes, school bags for children and hopefully towards a token gift to help the communities ease the burden (e.g. Something that would help the community as a whole: a well, cattle). We will decide on the token gift once we have a better idea of what would benefit them.
When will your campaign take place?
We will be travelling to Manila at the end of October for 2 weeks.

How can people get involved?
You can get involved by donating whatever you can afford to. Money is the easiest for us transport as we will be restricted on luggage allowance and will be able to purchase many of the supplies while overseas.
We will be posting our experiences on a blog should you wish to follow.
