Max has been the best of boys for our family for 13 years since we adopted him, but recently his quality of life has drastically declined. Our old man is 17 now and while his spirit is strong, his body is failing and it is time for us to schedule his final vet visit.
Unfortunately, this is all happening while we are financially down on our luck as a family. My partner is out of work on disability and we've had a string of ER visits and illnesses. The vet has quoted us $285 just for the visit for euthanasia, and an additional $300-$400 for cremation depending on options. All of which is due upfront, no options for payment plans. We just do not have the money for this, and the thought of making our boy wait because of financial hardship is breaking my heart.
Any help in covering this final vet bill would be greatly appreciated.
