April's Surgery, Dog Mauling

Donation protected
On January 23, 2018 this poor little beagle was mauled by 3 dogs that live next door to her residence on Kensington St in Flint. Margo Pfeiffer, 70, beat the dogs off with a rake to try and save her dog, April. April was bitten multiple times and almost lost her leg in the attack. She was taken to the Emergency Veterinary Clinic at 1148 E. Bristol Rd. in Burton for immediate surgery. The neighbors who were responsible for these dogs immediately put the 3 dogs into a truck and took them away from the premises to an unknown location later claiming they were not their dogs. There were many complaints throughout the neighborhood about these dogs in the past year but in the end, nothing was done. When Ms. Pfeiffer called animal control they told her it was a police issue and when the Flint Police Department came to the house they told her is was an animal control issue; both agencies attempted to pass the buck to one another in order not to have to deal with the situation. The police that came never even wrote a report. Margo, who is on a social security fixed income now has a vet bill of $2500.00 and feels she has been let down by the system. She is a giving woman that is willing to put others and animals before herself and we as her friends are asking for your donations to help April's veterinary bill.
