My name is Matt Hoodie and for the last couple years I’ve had the privilege of working with this amazing woman. To truly understand how incredible April’s story is you have to first understand her life.
Yes, she has lost 280lbs and completely taken back control of her body, and her health, and that is a remarkable accomplishment! But the real feat is the fact that she has done this while working two jobs and raising two children, ages 6 & 10, along the way! (They have been her biggest motivation!)
Not only is April now a wonderful representation of what we can accomplish when the drive is there, but she has also turned into a support tool for anyone looking for guidance along their own journey. I know personally that April has helped counsel hundreds of other individuals through their own struggles with food, exercise, and body image...and has not asked for a penny in return!
The reason I am creating this campaign is because April has now reached a place in her journey where sheer will and determination will no longer win over. April, after having lost 280lbs now needs full body skin removal surgery in order to take her next step. Please understand that this is not simply an aesthetic procedure, I have personally witnessed the cuts, and tears, that occur during times of physical movement. I want nothing more than to alleviate the stress of having to worry about such an awful thing every time she runs, works out, or now, teaches a Zumba class.
So I’m asking you to PLEASE if you are able, donate whatever you can and more importantly share this campaign, not only so that others can help...but so that other individuals can see their journey is possible too!Thank you so much for your support and have an amazing day!
