April's Journey To Wellness. Help Me Halt MS,

Hello, my name is April Austin.  I'm seeking to raise $50, 000 for Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (HSCT) for Multiple Sclerosis. This treatment is done in Puebla, Mexico at CLINICA RUIZ and in Moscow Russia. There are places here in the U.S that offer the treatment, but the prices are doubled. I was diagnosed in 2012; I'm deteriorating rapidly. I have been on 3 different medications, all of which are failing. Dealing with MS has caused me severe vision loss (legally blind). I am often sick and in constant pain. I sometimes have balance issues, some days I can't stand or get out of bed. I also have severe memory issues. HSCT  has been proven to halt MS progression, which is what I'm hoping to accomplish.  I currently work as a long-term substitute teacher for  a disadvantaged school district. I attend Eastern Michigan University, as a Social Work Major and  Cultural Anthropology Minor. My end goal is to work in public policy and open up several Autism Residential Facilities for those with autism transitioning into adulthood. I am 33 years old and I take care of an autistic child. Jacob means everything to me; I want to be able to care for him long term.
If I get this treatment, I promise to fight even harder for the weak. I promise to be a strong voice for those whom can't speak for themselves. I promise to do my part to change in the world for the better.
