Appeal to support Afghans during the 2021 crisis

As you know, the Afghan government collapsed on August 15 due to the Taliban takeover forcing hundreds of thousands of families to flee their homes and seek safety. As winter has fastly approached, this made it even harder for displaced families and children as they are in a difficult situation where they have no home, no food, and no warm clothing and are suffering due to the crisis. Over 23 million people are at risk of hunger this winter including 3.2 million children who are malnourished. These vulnerable people are seeking urgent help from charities like ORDA. 

About us:

The Organization for Relief & Development of Afghanistan (ORDA) is a Canadian registered charity dedicated to improving the lives of Afghan people.

ORDA has provided families in Afghanistan with tools to help them grow and grow for future generations. ORDA has supported over 200 refugee families with fruit trees that were distributed in the most deprived locations. The recipients were also provided with tool kits for the rebuilding of their homes. In addition, ORDA's poultry training and distribution project allowed the beneficiaries to learn how to take care of their chickens through one-week training. They learned skills in egg marketing, feeding, and watering chickens. In the future, ORDA would like to build schools to expand Afghans' expertise and ensure that everyone will receive an education. In 2020, we made two GoFundMe charity campaigns one was to help families during Ramadan in Afghanistan and the second one was for Qurbani meat & gifts for the kids. In 2021, ORDA had made charity campaigns which were another Ramadan food program in April-May 2021 & another Qurbani appeal in July 2021 and both were very successful. 

Our Motive:

Our motive is to help the vulnerable people in Afghanistan during the current humanitarian situation. With your donation, we will purchase basic urgent needs such as food & water, medicine, and warm clothing/blankets. Right now, we believe that charities like the ORDA would be best able to support the people who are affected by the humanitarian crisis. With your support, we can help many people in urgent need.
