Appeal for Apollo

This is Apollo our 5 month old Northern Inuit X Malamute puppy.
Apollo is usually a happy, bouncy, cheeky boy with lots of personality. He loves to give kisses and cuddles and will happily sit on your lap (blocking your whole view to the entire world) to watch TV. He steals the socks from my feet every morning as I get dressed, he loves his food and is so impatient that he will paw the floor to demand it to be put down exactly where he wants it - only to be wolfed down in seconds.
On Saturday the 25th April Apollo wasn't quite himself, he took a long time to eat his food and was quite lethargic. We took him to see the vet on Monday morning, he had a very high temperature and was given antibiotics and an anti-inflammatory. This was repeated the next day but unfortunately didn't help, he hadn't eaten in 3 days, he was sleeping for most of the day and his temperature was sky high.
Apollo was admitted to the referral centre the next day however, we had to rush him in as he had started shaking.
He has been there for almost 7 days, he has had numerous tests, scans, and is continuously having his blood taken.
His platelets - which should be over 200 were at 4. This is what clots the blood, he has been bleeding in to his abdominal and chest cavities and has been in some pain.
We were told that the immune system in these breed types are so good that they can turn on themselves. This can happen without any apparent cause or explanation. His own immune system is attacking him.
We have explored numerous possibilities, ingestion of some kind of toxin, Addisons disease, bacterial infections....
On Saturday the vet called and asked us to go and visit Apollo, they wanted to scan him which would require anesthetic. He was giving us the opportunity to see him one last time - just in case.
Today Apollo is a little perkier, the vets have ruled out a bacterial infection so he has been able to come off some of the antibiotics which were making him nauseous and lethargic. To date he has not eaten in 10 days.
It's now a waiting game, we are hoping and praying.
The cost of Apollos treatment and tests are adding up daily, we have insurance which unfortunately reached its limit some time ago. We have some money aside but our savings are about to run out too.
Today is the first day since Apollo became ill that we have had a glimmer of hope, we are desperately trying to raise funds to continue treatment for our beloved pup. It would be devastating to have to give up now when he has been through so much and is finally starting to show some small signs of improvement.

We have not been able to visit Apollo because of the current situation except for that one heartbreaking time. He has won the hearts of the staff at the referral centre who have very kindly sent us some photographs and are giving him lots and lots of cuddles. He truly is loved by everyone that he meets!
I have placed an amount to raise as requested on setting up the page, if we are lucky enough to raise enough funds with any to spare, we would like to donate the remainder to others in need or to the referral centre. Whichever will be more beneficial.
