Appeal for Additional Funds For Wendy Brown

On 3rd January 2018, whilst on holiday in the Canary Islands, through no fault of her own, my wife, Wendy, tripped and fell 3 metres over an unfenced drop. She suffered severe traumatic brain injuries and crushed her spine. See photo of Wendy being attended by a brilliant first aider.
Following brain and extensive spine surgery in Tenerife University Hospital, we were flown back to the UK for a lengthy stay at Salford's Hope Hospital and a further 5 weeks of rehab at the Devonshire Centre in Stockport.
Amongst the more critical injuries, Wendy also suffered a torn shoulder rotator cuff injury and has a wide blindspot in her peripheral vision.
Unfortunately the company she worked for could not wait indefinitely for Wendy's return and she was officially made redundant in September 2018.
Because of her cognitive and physical difficulties, Wendy has had her driving licence suspended indefinitely.
She continues to have periodic physio and neuropsychology, but is not improving at the rate we would have expected.
Since the accident we employed a firm of solicitors to file a claim against the travel company, TUI (Thompson). A year on and TUI are not engaging with our solicitors, won't admit liability and are playing the long game in dragging this matter out to the eleventh hour. We would be happy for an interim payment, whereby the family could set up a more intensive rehab programme for Wendy, to accelerate her progress. But it looks like this may go to court, where our legal team have already filed papers.
We had a campaign last year, which was gratefully received, thank you. But in light of Wendy's lack of income and all the other issues mentioned above, I reluctantly appeal to your better nature to dig deep to further help this charming, lovable lady.
