Medical Supplies for Nicaragua Trip

Donation protected
This upcoming spring break, The Association of Pre-Physician Assistant Students (APPAS) at the University of South Carolina will be leading our first medical mission trip to the rural villages of Managua, Nicaragua. Our group will be volunteering to set up a medicial clinic in a rural village and treat locals who do not have consistent access to medical care or medications.

We are currently raising money to purchase medical supplies abroad while in Nicaragua. This allows us to get medical supplies at the best possible price and in large quantities, all offered to our patients free of cost.  We anticipate purchasing children and adult's multivitamins, ibuprofen and acetaminophen, allergy medications, gastric medications such as tums, lice shampoo, and various other medical supplies that are frequently needed to run our clinics and keep our patients healthy.

Our group will be departing on March 10th. As Americans living in a first world country, we often take for granted how accessable our healthcare system is and how easily we can obtain common medications such as high blood pressure medication, acetaminophen, and multivitamins. You donation will allow us to provide a substantial supply of these medications to those that have no other means of obtaining such medications. Any donation, no matter how small or large, is greatly appreciated by our group as well as our Nicaraguan patients!
