Mi nombre es Julia Mencho y el 26 de Agosto en la madrugada recibí la noticia que mi hermano, German Rigoberto Mencho, estuvo en un accidente. Yo tenia la esperanza de que el estuviera bien pero lamentablemente, nos confirmaron que el no sobrevivió. El era un hombre trabajador, que vino a los Estados Unidos para buscar una vida mejor. Nunca esperamos que algo le pasaría. Nos dijeron que el estaba en camino a casa después de ir a un trabajo en Tennessee con otras 3 personas cuando fueron impactados por un trailer. La fuerza del impacto provoco que la ven se incendiara. Algunos viajeros que vieron el accidente intentaron a rescatar a todos, pero solo lograron rescatar a dos pasajeros que sobrevivieron con fracturas y quemaduras. Mi querido hermano y otro muchacho, no pudieron ser rescatados y lamentablemente no sobrevivieron. Es con gran dolor que les pido que por favor nos ayuden a recaudar fondos para poder darle un funeral digno y poder trasladar su cuerpo a su pueblo natal en Guatemala. Cualquier apoyo, por pequeña que sea, será una gran bendición para nosotros en este momento tan doloroso.

My name is Julia Mencho and on August 26th I received the news that my brother, German Rigoberto Mencho, was in an accident. I had hoped he would be okay but unfortunately, we were confirmed that he did not survive. He was a hardworking man, who came to the Unites States in search of a better life. We never imagined something would happen to him. We were told that he was on his way home late at night after going to a job in Tennessee with three other people when they were hit by a trailer. The force of the impact caused the van to catch fire. Some travelers who witnessed the accident tried to rescue everyone, but they only managed to save two passengers who survived with serious fractures and burns. My dear brother and another young man could not be rescued and unfortunately did not survive. It is with great pain that I ask you to please help us raise funds to give him a dignified funeral and to be able to transfer his body to his hometown in Guatemala. Any support, no matter how small, will be a great blessing for us in these very painful times.
