El 6 de Diciembre 2019 Kary fue diagnosticada con Cáncer de mama, Metastásico, Triple Negativo, Estadio IIIB.
Ella es mi gran amiga, siempre positiva, con una sonrisa, alegre, dada a las personas y a las mascotas; no recuerdo alguna vez haberla siquiera visto molesta, es responsable con el medio ambiente porque ama la naturaleza, respeta las diferencias de las personas y sus pensamientos.No es perfecta, como todo ser humano, pero se que tiene un gran corazón y es querida por mucha gente de la cual recibirá todo el apoyo.
El monto esta expresado en euros pero puedes realizar tu donación en cualquier divisa, excepto bolívares ya que en Venezuela la plataforma GoFundMe está bloqueada, pero aún así hemos decido con su autorización hacer esta campaña.

Mi nombre es Karina Vivas Fontalvo, tengo 39 años, soy venezolana y resido actualmente en mi país; mi pasión siempre ha sido la salud y me he dedicado durante toda mi carrera como fisioterapeuta a ayudar niños con alguna discapacidad motora a través de la rehabilitación física; siempre he creído en la capacidad del ser humano para ayudar y recuperarse de las adversidades. Siempre he sido una persona sana, practico Yoga y en este camino me acompañan dos hermosos ángeles caninos a quienes adopte hace un tiempo.
Pero hoy soy yo quien se encuentra del otro lado como paciente, abierta a recibir, seguir dando y continuar.
El día 6 de diciembre del 2019, luego de varios chequeos médicos me diagnosticaron Adenocarcinoma ductal infiltrante de mama derecha, es decir Cáncer; este resultado fue arrojado después de una Biopsia realizada días anteriores, desde ese momento empezaron a realizarme diferentes tipos de estudios; luego de una segunda biopsia Axiliar se determinó que el tumor había hecho metástasis hacia los ganglios linfáticos y por ahora se encuentra en un estadio 2B.
Para nadie es un secreto la situación actual de crisis por la que pasa mi país y lidiar con esto hace un poco más pesada sobrellevar esta enfermedad, ya que los costos de los tratamientos son tan altos que te hace vivir una realidad mucho más abrumadora y prácticamente inalcanzable, además durante el tratamiento voy a tener limitaciones para ejercer mi trabajo.
Es por eso que he acudido a ustedes, a esta red que conecta más allá de la distancia los corazones, y que me permite reafirmar que “Solos somos fuertes, pero juntos somos Invencibles”.
Les cuento lo que será mi proceso médico con la ayuda de cada uno ustedes:
La primera fase de mi tratamiento estará determinada inicialmente por varias sesiones de QUIMIOTERAPIA, para luego continuar con una OPERACIÓN para la extracción del tumor, ganglios linfáticos y mastectomía bilateral con cirugía reconstructiva, luego vendrán las sesiones de RADIOTERAPIA, para finalizar con un tratamiento de BLOQUEO HORMONAL para reducir el riesgo de recurrencia del Cáncer.
Afortunadamente me encuentro en una etapa donde mi pronóstico tiene buenas probabilidades para una recuperación absoluta, si logro cumplir al pie de la letra la recomendación de los doctores.
Sé que con tu apoyo, por más pequeño que sea hará la diferencia; es muy importante para mí y mi única opción, juntos podremos ganar esta batalla contra el cáncer.

It is no secret the actually crisis situation in my country and dealing with this, makes it a little heavier to cope with this disease, since the costs of treatments are so high that it makes you live a much more overwhelming and practically unattainable, also during the treatment I will have limitations to do my job; That's why I need your help.

The first phase of my treatment will be determined initially by several sessions of CHEMOTHERAPY, to then continue with an OPERATION for the removal of the tumor, lymph nodes and bilateral mastectomy with reconstructive surgery, then the sessions of RADIOTHERAPY will come, to end with a HORMONAL treatment to reduce the risk of cancer recurrence.
Fortunately I am at a stage where my prognosis has a good chance for absolute recovery, if I can comply with the doctors recommendation.
