En Septiembre de 2019, en Barcelona, España, Juancho fue apuñalado por un desconocido en la calle cuando volvía a casa del trabajo. Todavía hoy, casi dos años después, estamos esperando el inicio del juicio, que se llevará a cabo en Enero 2022.

El ataque puso en peligro su vida, fue milagroso llegar al Hospital con la arteria femoral comprometida, pero gracias a cómo se desarrollaron las cosas recibió el mejor apoyo médico en el Hospital Sant Pau donde fue ingresado para someterse a una serie de procedimientos quirúrgicos. El primero de ellos dos bypasses, sumando un total de 6 cirugías en la pierna y una estancia de 3 meses en el hospital.

En diciembre de 2019 recibió el alta hospitalaria y comenzó la fisioterapia recomendada, para recuperar la máxima movilidad posible de la pierna derecha, donde la mayor parte del músculo quedó afectado, perdiendo parte del Tibial Anterior, lo que le llevó a tener que usar muletas durante un tiempo, y le dejó una condición de por vida llamada Pie Equino.

La familia de Juan vive en Venezuela, su hermana fue a quedarse con él mientras estaba en el hospital y en febrero viajó de vuelta a su casa en Caracas, donde vive su madre: pensando en volver en Mayo de 2020 cuando empezó la pandemia, lo cual imposibilitó su regreso e hizo que los tiempos del proceso legal se dilataran, manteniendo a Juan y su familia en un limbo emocional.

Juan lo ha sobrellevado lo mejor posible gracias a su fuerte determinación y con el apoyo positivo de las actividades sociales y físicas con sus hermanos y amigos. Covid-19 ha dañado gravemente esas fuentes esenciales de sustento y apoyo, no puede volver a trabajar como chef, su profesión por los últimos 15 años y ha tenido que hacer frente a un montón de gastos extra que parecen multiplicarse con el tiempo: Abogados, Fisioterapia, y los gastos que normalmente tenemos para vivir.

Lo que está en nuestras manos, y lo que podemos aportar a la curación de Juan, es ayudar a reducir su estrés y darle la mejor y más solidaria situación de vida posible mientras lidia con su nueva condición física, el Trastorno de Estrés Postraumático y la espera del juicio que tendrá lugar en Enero de 2022, casi dos años y medio después de lo ocurrido. Podemos ayudarle a costear y concentrarse en un programa completo de apoyo terapéutico y podemos sufragar parte significativa de sus visitas de fisioterapia que no cubre el seguro. Sin tener que preocuparse por el precio de las mismas, ni por los pagos que aun quedan por cubrir a los abogados que se están encargando de todo el juicio y los asuntos legales desde Septiembre de 2019.

Tratamiento a largo plazo del trastorno de estrés postraumático y apoyo psicológico

Terapia de desensibilización y reprocesamiento por movimientos oculares (EMDR)

Terapia de Amino Neuro Frecuencia - Terapia ANF (Para la condición de discapacidad del pie equino)

Honorarios de Abogados

Terapia Física

La inscripción en el centro holístico para un tratamiento personalizado incluye acupuntura, terapia sacrocraneal, nutrición terapéutica, osteopatía, fisioterapia y coaching.

Let's support and hold space for Juan to reach full physical and emotional recovery! 

In September 2019, in Barcelona Spain, Juancho was attacked by a stranger in the street walking home from work. Still today, almost two years later, we are waiting for the trial to start.

The attack was life threatening, it was miraculous to get to the Hospital alive with a compromised femoral artery, but thanks to how things developed he received the best medical support at the Hospital Sant Pau where he was admitted to undergo a series of surgical procedures, the first of them two bypasses, totalling 6 surgeries on his leg and a stay of 3 months in the hospital.

In December 2019 he was discharged from the hospital and started the recommended physical therapy, to recover the maximum possible mobility of the right leg, where most of the muscle was affected, losing part of the Tibialis Anterior, which led in having to use crutches for months, and left him with a condition called Clubfoot.

Juan’s family lives in Venezuela, her sister went to stay with him while he was in the hospital and in February travelled back home in Caracas, where his mother lives, planning to return in May 2020. The pandemic made her return impossible and caused the legal process to be delayed, keeping Juan and his family in an emotional limbo.

Juan has dealt with it to the best of his ability thanks to his strong spirited determination and with the positive support of social and physical activities with his brothers, sister and friends. Covid-19 has seriously damaged those essential sources of nurturance,  he cannot go back to work as a chef, his profession for the last 15 years and has had to deal with a lot of extra expenses that seem to multiply over time: Lawyers, Physiotherapy, and the expenses we normally have for living.

What is  in our hands, and what we can contribute to Juan’s healing, is to help reduce his stresses and to give him the best, most supportive living situation possible as he deals with his new physical condition, the Post Traumatic Stress Dissorder and awaits the trial that will be taking place on January 2022, almost 2,5 years after it happened. We can help him afford and concentrate on a  high-quality therapeutic support full program and bodywork; and we can defray the significant portion of his physical therapy visits that are not covered by insurance. Without having to worry for the price of those nor the payments we still have to cover the lawyers fees for trial and all related legal matters.
