Doing independent journalism from Ciudad Juárez, on Mexico’s northern border, may seem simple, but it’s not. For more than six years, we have been informing you from this territory where all forms of violence and trafficking—drugs, weapons, people—converge, and where multiple organized crime groups fight for control. All of this occurs within a context of complex social phenomena such as migration, narcopolitics, poverty, and corruption.

In these uncertain times between Mexico and the United States, producing high-quality journalism from the border is more crucial than ever. That’s why we need your financial support.

We are La Verdad Juárez, online news site founded by women journalists, and now we need you to continue our work.
