<div>Ayúdame a continuar con mis estudios universitarios
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Nuestra vida cambió de manera drástica.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Con gratitud,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Andrea
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>PS:
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div>Nuestra vida estuvo constantemente restringida; cualquier pensamiento, idea o acción que
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div>verbal.
</div>
<div>especialmente si expresaba algo contrario a sus "reglas".
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div>cumpleaños, decidió irse de la casa.
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div>partido a favor de su padre.
</div>
<div>Durante este último año, hemos atravesado serias dificultades económicas. Vivimos sin
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div>manutención.
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>

<div>Help Me Continue My University Studies
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hello, my name is Andrea Gabriela Mayorga Reynosa, and I am currently studying Industrial Mechatronics Engineering at the Ibero-American University in Tijuana. I have completed the fourth semester of the program, and although it has been a journey full of challenges, it has also been marked by effort, dedication, and a deep desire to move forward.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am a 19 year old Mexican woman, born in Mexicali, Baja California. I have lived in Tijuana since I was three years old. I’ve always been a responsible student and a cheerful daughter. My life has been shaped by continuous education, from kindergarten to the university level—which I am currently attending with great effort.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For many years, my family and I lived without major hardships. We didn’t have luxuries, but we had enough. However, after the pandemic, our economic stability began to collapse. Emotionally and mentally, we were already experiencing difficulties due to a tense relationship with my father.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I grew up with my mother, father, and younger sister, but moving forward was not easy. My father always imposed many limitations and obstacles, and nearly a year ago, he abandoned us. He claimed my mother was “emotionally absent” from their relationship, something that my sister and I considered not to be true. He moved to the United States to live with my older half-siblings, saying that they appreciate him more there. The most painful thing is that, even though we were always respectful and loyal to him, he turned his back on us. Since then, he hasn’t sent a single cent for our support. We've had to rely on the goodwill of others, loans and donations, to keep us going.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our lives changed drastically.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My mother, who is 51, stopped working more than twenty years ago to dedicate herself entirely to caring for us and our home. Because my father abandoned us, she had to start from scratch, working as a translator to support us, but what she earns is not enough to cover our educational expenses.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My father's abandonment and rejection hurt us deeply, but we've decided to fight for our future. We've filed three lawsuits against him for abandonment, but so far, we haven't received any response or any sign of a pension. This situation puts my university studies at risk, as I currently have a scholarship that covers only 50% of my tuition, and the rest is a huge burden for my family currently.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My dream is to complete my university education and become an engineer who can provide real solutions to the problems in our community. However, due to financial and personal challenges, I am struggling to cover the necessary costs to continue studying, such as tuition, materials, transportation, and meals.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That’s why I’m starting this campaign, hoping to receive support from generous people who believe, as I do, that education transforms lives. Any amount, no matter how small it may seem, makes a big difference to me. You would also help me greatly by sharing this campaign with others.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for taking the time to read my story. I am committed to making the most of every opportunity that comes my way, and with your help, I can continue fighting for my dreams.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With gratitude,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Andrea
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>PS:
</div>
<div>I am reaching out to provide additional information that will allow for a deeper understanding of our family situation, especially regarding the relationship with my father and the current state of the three of us: my mother, my sister, and me.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My mother, Zoraida Reynosa, was married to my father for 20 years. During that time, there were always various conflicts within the family, which included issues such as finances, our personal opinions, individual decisions, attitudes, and even the way we presented ourselves to society.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our lives were constantly restricted; any thought, idea, or action that did not come directly from my father was considered wrong or unacceptable. From a very young age, I lived in constant fear, both of physical and verbal abuse. The emotional manipulation I experienced during my childhood was intense, especially if I expressed anything contrary to his “rules.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Although the problems began many years ago, it was during the quarantine in 2022 when the situation worsened significantly. At that time, my father stopped disguising his behavior: he treated us with cruelty, hurled baseless accusations at us, and scolded us without reason. He even began threatening divorce and abandoning the household. In the end, that is what happened. On October 14, 2024, one day before my birthday, he decided to leave the house.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Since then, most of my paternal relatives (the Mayorga family) have distanced themselves and chosen to ignore our side of the story, supporting only my father’s testimony, as he has portrayed himself to them as the victim of abuse. My older siblings, for their part, have also not offered us significant support; they have taken his side.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>During this past year, we have faced serious financial difficulties. We live without stable income and without adequate food. My father continues to work, yet he has not contributed any form of financial support for our livelihood.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Currently, we survive on my mother’s monthly income, which amounts to approximately 4,000 Mexican pesos, along with the help we receive from generous people — among them relatives, friends, and now you through GoFundMe — in the form of cash donations or groceries. Even so, we often face serious struggles at the end of the month, as we are unable to cover basic expenses such as rent, utilities, and the education of my sister and myself.
