Update: We found out what is causing Apollos blockage, his stricture is too small. It couldn’t even pass the smallest cameras the vet had. He since had his bladder drained twice almost reaching a liter of pee. Apollo now needs to have a Penial Urethrostomy, this is a procedure where they make him a new hole to pee out of, allowing him to no longer strain and struggle. The surgery ranges from 6 thousand to 8 thousand. Anything helps, even if all you can do is share. He needs the surgery ASAP and I understand the state of our country, and how everyone may be suffering financially but please….sharing can really go a long way.

This is Apollo,

he is a 1 year old American Pit Terrier. I got him when he was only 2 months old, this past October he developed a urethral prolapse. I took him to the vet because it popped and was advised to get him neutered and have the prolapse removed. It was a bloody recovery, but he did heal. At least the stitches, ever since he got the surgeries, he has been straining to pee. I gave him a week to see if he would heal on his own (in case it was just a side effect from the pain killers and anesthesia). He continued to strain, so I called his vet. They treated it as an UTI, but the straining didn’t stop. He now pees for at least 15 minutes every potty break and has to wear diapers. He’s such an amazing dog, he won’t show how much pain he is in but it burns every single time he has to urinate. The obvious pushing, uncontrolled dripping, getting as low as he can and now peeing blood. He has to get a Cystoscopy done by January 3rd. I am asking you to share his story, in hopes to make our donation goal. All donations will go straight to getting this surgery done, so Apollo no longer has to suffer.
