First of all, THANK YOU for being willing to go onto this page, and I appreciate your interest in how my support raising process is going!
What am I raising support for? In Fall 2014, I will be going on staff at the Wesley Foundation, a college ministry to the students at the University of Georgia. As part of the Discipleship staff at Wesley, I have the privilege of discipling college women, mentoring Wesley leaders who disciple younger students, and praying for the people of Athens as my job!
I am raising $1,100 dollars a month for the next nine months or $13,000 overall by August 4th. Does $13,000 in a month sound crazy to you too? Good, I am glad that I am not alone here. However, I am so thankful that that I serve a God who "can do exceedingly and abundantly more than all we could ever ask or imagine" (Ephesians 3:20)! That being said, if you feel like you can, I would LOVE your support monthly, as a one time gift, or at any rate that you feel led to give to me!
I wish there was a way that I could compensate you for your generosity by giving you a hand-made jewelry set or some kind of craft, but the fact that I have nothing to offer is teaching me a lot about God's grace; like the grace given to you and I through Jesus dying on the cross, your gift to me is entirely unearned, there is no way that I could adequately compensate you for it, and all I have to do is receive it. That offer to freely receive God's grace is available to you too!
