New Orleans Mission Trip

The youth of Christian Church of San Angelo are going on a mission trip to New Orleans, LA on July 26 - August 3, 2014. We will be taking a team of 37 students and adults to work in the inner city neighborhood of Holly Grove. Holly Grove was impacted by Hurricane Katrina and still continues to recover from its devastation. We work with Jesus Project Ministry a local ministry that was established in the heart of Holly Grove following Hurricane Katrina. During our week in New Orleans we provide VBS to neighborhood children, provide services to the community like painting and mowing, go from door to door praying for people we encounter and sharing with them the Gospel of Christ. We end the week with a Back to School Outreach where we give away free school supplies to the neighborhood children and teenagers as we minister to their families through drama, rap, preaching, prayer, food, and fun!
