Boost Confidence for Disadvantaged Kids

Donation protected
Your generous gift will directly impact the confidence of young kids as they head back to school this fall.

Your financial kindness will be put to work in providing new school backpacks filled with the essential tools needed for success in school.  The students you support will be filled with confidence as they go to school with a brand new backpack and a renewed confidence in their abilities.  Imagine the broad smiles and bright eyes that will light up with this gift of yours.  A new backpack filled with educational resources is a simple gift.  However, this gift will be with these children each and every day of this upcoming school year.  Your gift will keep on giving to them.

You are directly supporting their new hope for a successful school year.

The Lakeland Union High School Class of 1994 is raising money for the Lakeland Sharing Foundation in honor of their 20 year class reunion.  This effort will support over 1,100 children in the Northwoods of WI that face difficult life challenges.

Information on the Lakeland Sharing Foundation:

The Lakeland Sharing Foundation supports children and their families living within the Lakeland Union High School District. Our organization runs three major programs throughout the year: a Christmas Gift Program, a Backpack and School Supply Program, and year round Student Support Program.

The Lakeland Sharing Foundation’s Christmas program provides new and gently used toys, hats, mittens, and books to children in need in the Lakeland area. Our Backpack and School Supply program provides children with backpacks filled with grade specific school supplies. Backpacks and supplies are given to the area elementary schools for distribution. Lakeland Sharing Foundation also provides student support funds to area schools and provides family emergency assistance on a case by case basis.

Families are referred to the Lakeland Sharing Foundation through churches, schools and social service agencies. Families and children who qualify to receive assistance from our programs remain anonymous throughout the distribution process.

The Lakeland Sharing Foundation is a local, non-profit organization. We rely on the generosity of the community to help support our efforts. We welcome monetary contributions and donations of school supplies backpacks, new and gently used books and toys, and new hats and mittens year round.

The Lakeland Union High School 20 Year Class Reunion is scheduled for August 23rd, 2014 in Minocqua, WI.  We will announce our gift to the Lakeland Sharing Foundation that evening at our class reunion banquet at The Boathouse (https://www.facebook.com/MinocquaBoathouse).  Please join us for festive activities and live entertainment.

About the Class of 94:  Throughout our 4 years of school at Lakeland Union High School the class of 94 demonstrated an uncanny ability to raise money for the class and community.  20 years later, we still have what it takes and we are all very excited to contribute back to the community once again.  Our class motto from 20 years ago still rings true today.  "We Care."

* Please note, all funds raised on this GoFundMe account will be allocated directly towards the Lakeland Sharing Foundation.  If you are interested in helping cover the costs of hosting this fundraising event, please contact David Haug and request to be a sponsor.  We are reaching out to the entire community and not just the class of 94.  Please share with all your friends and contacts.  Thank you ALL for your support!
