Anya's Memorial Fund

In April of 2012 Anya Claire DeVol was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma. A rare bone cancer that attacks young children and adolesents. Anya's treatements began with in a day of discovering this strange defect in the images of her left hip bone. Treatments were week long stays in the hospital, once every three weeks for 11 sessions and then she had local control or surgery where they resected all of the tumor leaving a clean field of healthy tissue and bone which left them the socket of the hip to her femur and 3mm of healthy bone tissue above that. A donor graft was implanted and fastened in place. Afterwhich she had another 14 rounds of chemotherapy to endure until the end of treament for her.

She has endured so much, 25 rounds of Chemotherapy, hip removal and donor graft replacement, relearning how to walk, being casted 6 times in 6 weeks to fix a drop foot, countless pokes and prodes, scans and endless hospital stays.

She was declared "NED" (No Evidence of Disease) in May of 2013 , but she unfortunately relapsed in July of 2014. This time the disease had infected her right lung. She and her family have fought long and hard to beat this disease; including 24 rounds of radiation thereapy, and more rounds if chemo therapy, but the medical practitioners have come to the end of their treatments and her little body is no longer responding to any treatment.

Anya is currently under Hospice care and is not expected to last much longer. Her family is so very grateful for the time that they have had with their precious Miss Ah.

May God bless you for any donations you feel may help.
