Anthony Sanz - Copa America

Hi my name is Anthony Sanz, I am 12 years old and I was born with Hypochondroplasia, which is a form of short-limbed dwarfism. Even though I have a condition, I am a young athlete seeking to excel in the sport of soccer to help further my career. I have a unique opportunity to participate in the 1st Copa America soccer tournament for people of Dwarfism (talla baja) in South America to be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina between October 24th and 29th of this year. This is an inclusive competition to include all these nations around the world and I have been invited to participate and become a member of the North American dwarf soccer team (United States/ Canada) for the 1st Copa America games (talla baja) little people team. This opportunity will really excel my level of play to its maximum potential.

The competition is being organized by the Civil Association of little people in Argentina with the support of the AFA (Associacion de Futbol Argentino), as well as the secretary of sports of the Nation.

My dad has also been invited to participate as head coach of team North America and therefore we would be traveling together.
There will be 12 countries participating so far, but there could be more as this is the 1st Copa America for the Dwarf community and the number may increase.

I know this will be an unforgettable event and eventually this will allow little people to exercise the right to compete, participate, demonstrate skills and strengthen the unity among little people around the world.

My hope is to get enough sponsors so my dad and I may participate in this life changing event. This event is not sponsored by the soccer federations of North America and since it is coming up so soon, it's an unexpected event, and we don't have the funds available for this trip.
