In January of 2017 our family was informed of the unfortunate news that our father, Anthony Ritter, had been diagnosed with Stage 4 of a rare and aggressive cancer known as leiomyosarcoma. We were, of course, devastated by this information, but quickly banded together more tightly than ever to help our dad fight this vicious disease. Our hope in starting this GoFundMe campaign is that you, our friends and family, will join our fight too. Already the outpouring of love has been incredible and for that we are so beyond grateful.
Leiomyosarcoma is an unpredictable soft tissue sarcoma that tends to be resistant to chemotherapy and is currently attacking our dad’s liver and pancreas. While our dad has been fighting for almost a year now, his tumors have continued to grow. As many of you reading this surely know, cancer and its treatment are costly.
Hospitals, medications, and chemotherapies are just as pricey as they are necessary to guarantee our wonderful father the best treatment through this difficult battle. Currently we, his three 20-year-old daughters, are not capable of providing a substantial financial contribution in regard to these and so we are reaching out for a hand in giving our family a small gift to try and relieve some tiny fraction of the worry that goes along with this whole process.
Through this GoFundMe campaign we are hoping to try and provide some relief and security for our father who has so selflessly provided for us our whole lives. We would truly appreciate anything that can be given, big or small, to help us through this difficult time.
