Anthony Joel McCrillis Funeral Expenses

Hi, we are The McCrillis family, Joe, Angie, Ashley and Phillip. We are fundraising for our son and brother Anthony Joel McCrillis, funeral expenses. He was killed somewhere between 9 o’clock pm Friday night September 17,2021 and Saturday night September 18,2021. This was so unexpected and there was no insurance for Joel. We are heartbroken that our son and brother was the person on the news and all over social media as the “body in the trunk” in (FREE) car. Joel would have never put a sign on his car as if to give it away. He had just moved home to live with his brother Ashley and to star a new job on this past Saturday. He had recently finished a rehabilitation program called Covenant Recovery in Pine Bluff Arkansas, worked and save his money to buy a car and moved back home to Mississippi to be near family. He was a kind and gentle soul who wouldn’t hurt anyone or anything. He moved home Labor Day Weekend and did get some quality time with his brothers Ashley and Phillip. He said he just wanted to live a simple life by working and coming home everyday and to spend time with friends and family. I had no idea how many lives he touched along the way. So if you can donate for Joel that would be awesome, if not, just keep us in your prayers as we face what might be a few weeks before we get his autopsy done and hopefully get the answers we want about what happed to him. Joel would hate all this attention , he had a little social anxiety around a lot of people and really was a person who could be happy drawing and being to himself.

Joel liked to write his Bible verses as he read them. He said it helped him remember them. This is the last one he wrote.

Luke 22: 33

And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with you both to prison, and to death.

Joel was at peace with himself.
